This is just a funny one of Alex that I came up with to scrap some pictures of him at Hanauma Bay. I think he's so cute when he makes faces, don't you?
This is a 2 page layout that I just finished for a contest at my local scrapbook store. It became something that I really wanted to be proud of because it has my mom and grandmother on both pictures. I'm happy with the results. I hope you like it, mom...I love you. :)
I made those little squares on the left side of the "Getting Ready" page. I layered 3 strips of paper and then punched them out in squares and matted them. I like the way they turned out. The letters are chalked.
I love the picture of Jim and Alex going off to snorkel together and this beautiful paper is just perfect for it.
A cute one of Alex being silly on the beach....just a few different shots with a bunch of circles punched out of the excess photo. A little wave at the bottom with 'footprints in the sand' punched out.
This is a 2 page layout I completed. The sea shells and star fish are made out of polymer clay and I love the way that they really finish off the page.
Driving along the road just enjoying the beautiful colors of the land. I got this palm tree die cut a while ago in a kit that was 50% off and had tons of stuff in it. I did some doodling with a green marker to add some extra grass at the bottom of the page. Found these pretty pink flowers at Walmart and I knew they would add to the page because I had that Oahu die cut with the pink flowers on it.
Well I'm back from a 16 hour crop and it was a fantastic day of cropping and fun with a really good friend, Sandi. I was able to complete a total of 18 layouts which exceeded my goal of one per hour so I was really happy when the day was done. My back hurts from sitting for so long in a metal folding chair but next time I will be a bit more prepared with something for that. Will post more pictures tomorrow.
I took a class last night and made this layout. I learned distressing using water and wrinkling the paper and embossing and heat setting among other things. It was a great class and I really enjoyed myself and got to know some other ladies in my area that are scrapbookers!
I have always loved this picture that I took of Alex almost 4 years ago and I finally got inspired to put it on a scrapbook page. This was such a wonderful and fun afternoon for both of us. Kids are so low maintenance and playing with a little fountain attached to a hose is sometimes all it takes.
