Sometimes you have to eat, right?

I guess you can't scrap 24/7 and since I've been doing Weight Watchers for about 2 weeks now I decided to give this recipe a try, it's called Bubble Up Pizza Casserole and boy was it delicious!!!

Tear Giraffe

I took a class at my local scrapbook store tonight and learned the tearing technique using handmade mulberry paper. It was something new I had never tried before and I'm glad I learned how to do it. The layout is about getting taller and I tried to think of a good picture to use and I remember when Alex was little he used to say that he was going to grow up and be just as big as his brothers.

Dole Plantation

I finally sorted and cleaned and reorganized all my scrap goodies that I had accumulated during my vacation to Florida recently and started scrapping again last night. I did this 2 page layout about our trip to the Dole Plantation. Ok, so I have 32 layouts done for my Hawaii book and still have over 270 pictures to go!! I'm in trouble....hahahaha!! Either I have to weed pictures or I need a bigger book!!!

One Moment

I like the way that this turned out. I've been trying to focus more on journaling and I think this was a good attempt. These letters were cut with plain white cardstock and then I stamped all over them with my word stamps and black ink and then I edged the letters with ink.

Mommy and Me

Alex and I took a Mommy and Me scrapbooking class at the Joann's while we were down visiting my mom. It was so much fun and he did a great job!! He totally changed up the layout and decided he wanted to put his easter eggs in a 'nest' so the teacher gave him tan cardstock and he drew it out and cut it and then she gave him an embossing plate and he gave it the texture!!

Adding to my stash

Of course when I go visit mom I have to hit all of the scrapbook and crafts stores to see what goodies I can find. Boy did I come home with a load of great stuff. Didn't spend that much either because I had 60% coupons, 50% coupons and a lot of the stuff I got was on clearance or from the dollar store!! I just unpacked and I can't believe how much I actually brought home with me, WOW!!! I also treated myself (Happy Birthday to me!!) to another cartridge for my Cricut since I only had the one that came with it.

HAPPY EASTER

Here I am celebrating Easter for the 2nd year in a row with my mom in Florida. Alex is so excited to be here again and he's had a wonderful time this past week visiting with his grandma...not to mention the fact that there are a few kids his age around and he's been able to play outside and ride his bike up and down the block as much as he wants since there aren't many cars around.

The eggs have been stuffed and hidden, the basket is ready and I picked up a nice picture that I took of my brother and his fiancee at Disney Market and put it in a frame to give them as a gift. The last thing I did was put a couple of bows on a basket that mom had her eye on for her knitting and it is sitting on the dining room table for her to see when she gets up in the morning, I finally managed to get out to the store alone today and I was able to sneak it in the house without her knowing about it. Phew...it's hard to keep things under wraps around here. :-)

I have really enjoyed this vacation and the time spent with mom and I'm looking forward to going home and scrapping all of the great pictures I've been able to capture.
